about

The songs on this were mainly home-recorded [George Gargan on bass; plus some Gina Murphy vocals] during the period after The More We Are, when we were working on songs for a projected double LP which was to be called Various Artists. Micky and George were both writing a lot of songs.

The project folded when George left to do/be Former Utopia. John Parsons joined on bass, and we began work on the studio recordings which became Death To Technicians.
George sings 'Calamity & Curse' & 'Submarine' while Ring is one of his songs but there was a lot of idea crossover going on.

Puppies, Canon & Hard Work of Simple Things were redone for later LC albums and some of these are only available here and not released.
